That patch only works on PAL iso.
You could re-download the PAL iso and patch it hours later, or burn the NTSC iso w/o any patch.
Of course, you can buy the original game disc off the shelf.

He can’t buy the game. If he’s downloading the iso that means his wii is modified. In order to play the actual bought version of the game he would need to update his wii to 4.2, which will proceed to brick his wii because it is modified.

I have a hacked Wii with 4.2 and it isn’t bricked. It is possible. My children would have destroyed all of my game disks by now if I hadn’t used the USB loader on my Wii. If you are having trouble getting it to play try this link:
